A ninth person dies from last week’s traffic accident north of Jericho; all teenagers

A ninth person involved in the deadly traffic accident last week north of Jericho that claimed the lives of eight teenagers from the Nablus-area village of Aqraba has succumbed to his wounds and was declared dead this morning, according to a local official.

Aqraba mayor Salah Bani Jaber told WAFA that Mutaz Bani Jaber, 16, has become the ninth victim of the horrific accident on Thursday in which a truck rammed into a car full of teenagers returning home from work at an Israeli settlement plantation killing eight on the spot and injuring the others, including Mutaz who was taken to an Israeli hospital and was declared dead this morning.

The car driver, the only survivor in the car, is still in hospital and was reported in stable condition, said the mayor.
