CWRC: 436 Violations Committed by the Israeli Occupation and its Colonizers during March

The Colonization and Wall Resistance Commission (CWRC) stated that the Israeli occupation authorities and its colonizers committed 436 violations during March. These violations ranged from the direct assault of civilians, sabotage, land leveling, tree-uprooting, property confiscations, imposition of closures, the establishment of checkpoints, and inflicting physical harm.

In its monthly report titled “The Israeli Occupation’s Violations and the Colonial Expansion Measures”, for the month of March, the Commission revealed that these violations were concentrated in the Nablus Governorate with 130 violations, followed by the Jenin Governorate with 60 violations, and the Salfit Governorate with 46 violations.

Muayyad Sha’aban, the Head of the Commission, stated that the Israeli occupation government is adopting a new type of terrorism, one that does not stop at the limits of destruction and ending the life of Palestinian citizens with ease facilitated by the military institute and the colonizers. Rather, it adopted the terrorism of racist statements that endeavor to cancel the Palestinian people, their history, and their very existence.

Sha’aban said that the Israeli occupation institution sponsors this type of terrorism in an organized, systematic, and audacious manner. He added that the occupation’s mindset produces a new wave of state terrorism that is characterized by claims of superiority, self-aggrandizement, and most importantly, the ease of canceling the existence of others. He further stated that the Israeli occupation state is re-producing its identity around a repugnant brand of chauvinism and the Nazi-like tendencies that they have previously experienced almost a century ago.

The Commission noted that the number of violations carried out by the colonizers amounted to 164 violations, during which they tried to establish a new colonial outpost in the Jordan Valley. The colonizers’ attacks were concentrated in the Nablus Governorate this month with 69 attacks.

Sha’aban said that in March, the Israeli occupation authorities issued 51 demolition notifications, construction moratoriums, and evacuation notices to Palestinian institutions. These notifications were issued under the pretext of lacking a license or under the pretext of training. Most of these notifications were concentrated in the Governorate of Salfit, with 19 notifications, and the Governorate of Jericho, with 11 notifications.

The Commission also stated that the Israeli occupation authorities, along with its colonizers, have bulldozed more than 176 dunums of citizen lands in the governorates of Jerusalem, Ramallah, and Jenin to control them in favor of the colonizers.

Sha’aban pointed out that the demolitions carried out by the Israeli occupation forces during March have reached 28 demolitions of 33 houses, commercial facilities, and sources of livelihood. These operations were concentrated in the Jerusalem and Hebron governorates.

The report documents the damage and uprooting of 635 trees at the hands of the colonizers. These attacks were mainly concentrated in Jenin Governorate, where 220 trees were uprooted, followed by Nablus Governorate where 182 trees were uprooted.

According to Sha’aban, the Israeli occupation authorities issued an order to seize 391 dunums of Palestinian citizens’ lands in the governorates of Salfit, Ramallah, and Qalqilyah for military purposes in March. The first order targeted a total of 49 dunums of land in the governorates of Salfit and Ramallah, specifically in the villages of Rantis and Deir Ballut. The second order, which was issued a week ago, targeted lands in Jinsafut, Al-Fondoq, and Al-Hajjeh which resulted in the seizure of 218 dunums of land. The Israeli occupation state claims that the purpose of this seizure is building a road for military purposes; however, it was seized to serve the colonizers and stop the objections of landowners, claiming it was for security purposes.
