COVID-19 claims the life of 21 people in Palestine in the last 24 hours, 2200 new cases recorded

COVID-19 pandemic claimed the life of 21 people in Palestine in the last 24 hours while 2200 new cases were recorded, today said Minister of Health Mai Alkaila in her daily report on the pandemic in Palestine.

She said that 10 people died in the West Bank where 502 new cases were recorded and 672 patients have recovered.

The Gaza Strip had 11 deaths, 1698 new cases and 853 recoveries.

Alkaila said 192 patients remain hospitalized due to coronavirus infection, and 74 are in intensive care, while 18 are on ventilators.

She said that while almost 30,000 people got the COVID-19 vaccine in Palestine in the last 24 hours, the total number of vaccinated people has reached 1,372,528 while 699,342 people got a second dose.
