Five Palestinians shot and injured, dozens suffocate during clashes east of Qalqilia

At least five Palestinian youth were shot and injured by rubber-coated steel bullets, while dozens suffocated during clashes with Israeli forces in the town of Kafr Qaddoum, east of the West Bank district of Qalqilia, according to a local activist.

The coordinator of the popular resistance committee in the village, Murad Ishtawi, said Israeli army soldiers stormed the village of Kufr Qaddoum, provoking clashes with residents.

Forces fired rubber-coated steel bullets and tear gas canisters towards residents, shooting and injuring at least five people.

Dozens were reportedly treated at the scene from tear-gas suffocation.
