The Israeli occupation forces (IOF) on Saturday suppressed a popular event staged in Masafer Yatta area in al-Khalil to cultivate Palestinian-owned lands threatened with annexation.
According to local sources, a number of local residents organized an event to cultivate agricultural plots of land in Khirbet Khoussa hamlet in Masafer Yatta before Israeli soldiers dispersed them and expelled them from the area.
The Israeli occupation authority has been working for years on tightening the noose around the local residents in Masafer Yatta to force them to leave their homes and lands in order to carry out more settlement expansion plans.
