Israeli Occupation Violations in Jerusalem 4-3-2022

♦️ Blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque:-
– (50,000 worshippers) performed Friday prayers today at the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque in occupied Jerusalem. Worshippers from the governorates of the West Bank and the territories of 1948, and the towns surrounding occupied Jerusalem, flocked to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
– The occupation forces tightened their military measures, hindered the arrival of worshippers to the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, prevented many of them from entering, checked their personal cards, and erected checkpoints at the entrance to the tribes door east of the Old City.
– Thousands of citizens performed dawn prayers in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, despite the restrictions of the occupation, in response to an appeal launched by “holy institutions” aimed at intensifying the Palestinian presence in the mosque and circumventing around it, and in response to the occupation violations and incursions carried out by settlers into the courtyards of the first Muslim Qibla.
– The occupation forces and police stationed at the gates of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque prevented many worshippers coming from the West Bank of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, after reaching its doors.
– The occupation forces detained young men from the West Bank in the control rooms in the Bab al-Amud area, preventing them from reaching the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
– The occupation forces stopped a number of young men at the gate of the tribes, and prevented them from entering the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque to perform Friday prayers.
– The special unit of the occupation stormed this afternoon the courtyards of the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque, activated the place, and removed the “Palestinian flag” from above the southern Baakia.

♦️ Arrests:-
– The occupation forces arrested three people this afternoon after the attack, during a demonstration in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood in the occupied capital: “Islam Ghatit” and two foreign solidarity activists.
– The occupation forces arrested brothers “Mohammed and Qasai Mustafa Abu Al-Aliat” from the town of Al-Magheer, east of Ramallah governorate, while they were in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.
– The occupation special forces arrested an unidentified Palestinian youth while he was in the blessed Al-Aqsa Mosque.

♦️ Occupation Court:-
– The occupation court postponed the trial of the young Jerusalemite Ahmed Al-Karki from the town of Al-Tur, east of the occupied city of Jerusalem, until next Tuesday.
– The occupation court submits indictments against ten young men from the town of Issawiya, northeast of the occupied city of Jerusalem, for organizing national events and participating in confrontations with the occupation police.

– The occupation forces mobilized intensively in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem, imposed their tightening on the people and solidarity with them, and an atmosphere of tension, which led to the outbreak of skirmishes between the occupation forces and the people of the neighborhood and solidarity.
– The occupation municipality in Jerusalem handed over a circular to its Arab employees, “threatening them to take disciplinary action against any employee who shows his political positions publicly,” in the context of job extortion in Jerusalem.

♦️ Settler attacks:-
– Settlers staged a demonstration at the Western Wall behind the Mughrabi Gate in occupied Jerusalem.
– The settlers performed this morning the “Hebrew New Month” prayer in the square of the Mughrabi neighborhood in front of the Al-Buraq Wall and exceeded (7,000 settlers) under heavy guard by the occupation forces, and at the end of them dozens of them went to Bab Qattanin “to provoke worshippers and perform Talmudic dances.”

– Clashes broke out between the occupation forces and a number of young men in the town of Beit Daqko, northwest of the occupied city of Jerusalem.

♦️ Prisoners file:-
– Administrative prisoners in the occupation prisons continue to boycott the occupation courts for the 63rd day in a row, to demand an end to the policy of administrative detention under the slogan “Our decision is freedom”.
– The Palestinian Prisoners Club confirmed that the prisoners in the occupation prisons decided to continue their continuous steps of struggle for 27 days. This came after a dialogue session on Thursday with the prison administration, the results of which were the administration partially retracting some of its announced procedures, specifically with regard to the “Al-Fura” prison yard system.
The club explained in its statement that the prison administration refused to respond to the demands of the prisoners of “Nafha” prison related to electronic gates and inspection, which is one of the basic demands in the current battle. In light of this, the prisoners informed the prison administration that they continue their steps of disobeying and rebelling against the prison laws, until they fully and radically respond to their demands, specifically the demand related to the case of prisoners of “Nafha prison). The prisoners also decided, if the administration continues its current position, that they will announce an open hunger strike on March 25. In this context, the Prisoners Club stressed that this announced position emanated from all factions represented by (the Supreme National Emergency Committee for Prisoners), which was formed following the procedures imposed by the Prison Administration after the history of Operation Freedom Tunnel.
It is noteworthy that the prisoners face a double and systematic attack aimed at deprive them of their historical achievements, as the prison administration began this attack by targeting (the system of exit of prisoners to the prison yard “Al-Fura”), to impose more control and control over them. The number of prisoners in the occupation prisons is about (4,500), including (34) prisoners, and about 180 children.

♦️ Solidarity events:-
– The residents of Jabal al-Mukaber and their solidarity with them performed Friday prayers today at the stadium of the town southeast of occupied Jerusalem, rejecting the policy of demolishing houses and displacing residents from them. The stadium square witnessed the rallying of hundreds of people and solidarity with them.

♦️ Demolitions:-
– The occupation authorities forced Jerusalemite citizen Raif Shuiki to demolish his house in the town of Beit Hanina, north of the occupied city of Jerusalem, which houses 4 individuals, after the occupation threatened him to pay a fine of (100 thousand shekels), as he did not demolish the house.

♦️ Miscellaneous:-
– An Israeli court revoked the registration of the land on which the “Alexander Nibasky Church” is built in the name of the Russian government. The land on which the church is built in the Old City of Jerusalem is highly sensitive and is registered in the Ottoman land registry as the “Kingdom of Russia”. In August 2017, the Russian government applied to be registered as a rights owner of this land in the so-called “Israeli land” registry, which includes unresolved land.

Summary of yesterday evening’s highlights:-
– The occupation forces threatened a member of Fatah’s territory in Jerusalem, Awad Al-Sulaima, to stay away from the city of Jerusalem permanently, if he continues his sit-in in the neighborhood of “Sheikh Jarrah.” It is noteworthy that the occupation summoned Al-Sulaima to interrogate him to the so-called (Rooms 4), at the “Maskoubia” detention center west of occupied Jerusalem, on charges of incitement in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood.
– Clashes broke out between young men and occupation forces in the Gate area in the town of Al-Eizariya, east of Jerusalem.
– The occupation forces arrested the young Jerusalemite “Mohammed Sarhan” from the town of Silwan, south of Al-Aqsa Mosque.
– Holding a press conference in Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood on the subject of canceling the decision to evacuate families in the neighborhood.
– Extremist settler Itamar bin Gvir and other settlers provoked the people in the Sheikh Jarrah neighborhood of occupied Jerusalem.
– The occupation authorities released the prisoners “Moath Mujahid Kamel Al-Matrai” and “Mohammed Sharif Kamel Al-Matrai” from the town of Beit Anan, southwest of occupied Jerusalem, following a detention that lasted for 20 months.
