Foreign Ministry: Five more deaths from coronavirus among Palestinians in diaspora

Five members of the Palestinian community, four in Saudi Arabia and one in the United States, have died of coronavirus today bringing the total number of deaths among diaspora Palestinians to 134, said the Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates.

The Ministry said in a statement released today that Mohammad al-Hadi, 38, Ziad Mohammad Tanira, 74, Hwaida Salim Akhras, 58, and Hisham Said al-Taher, 60, from Saudi Arabia, and Methqal al-Qadi, 67, from the city of Chicago in the US, have died of COVID-19.

A total of 1973 positive cases of coronavirus were recorded among Palestinians in the diaspora, while 1150 have recovered.
