Israeli navy targets Palestinian fishermen as soldiers raid areas in Gaza

Israeli navy today targeted Palestinian fishermen in the sea off Gaza City, while soldiers infiltrated the borders east of the city and razed land, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that the Israeli navy opened fire towards fishermen as they were sailing within the allowed three nautical miles inside the Mediterranean Sea, forcing them to return to shore to avoid being hurt.

A large number of Gazans rely on fishing for daily living in light of the tight decade-old blockade imposed by Israel on the Gaza Strip.

Additionally, and for the second straight day, Israeli military vehicles breached the northern Gaza borders and entered dozens of meters into Gaza territory as bulldozers razed lands and set up dirt barricades, said WAFA correspondent.
