Israeli army orders halt on road rehabilitation near Bethlehem

Israeli occupation forces ordered today a halt on a road rehabilitation project in the village of Rashaida, to the east of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank, local sources said.

The Israeli occupation army ordered workers at the site to immediately stop the work under the pretext it was in an Israeli-controlled area, or otherwise the workers will risk being arrested and their equipment confiscated.

The village is located in Area C of the occupied West Bank, under Israeli military and civil control, where Israel almost prevents all kinds of infrastructural and planning development under alleged security pretexts.
