Palestinian National Council to meet at end of April, says PLO

The Palestinian National Council (PNC), the highest decision making body, is going to convene on April 30, the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization (PLO) decided on Wednesday.

The PNC meeting was called for to present Palestinian policy and strategy in light of the US recognition of Jerusalem as capital of Israel, which the Palestinians say has ended US role as peace mediator.

The Executive Committee meeting in Ramallah chaired by President Mahmoud Abbas also adopted the president’s vision for peace outlined at the United Nations Security Council on February 20 as the Palestinian position for a peaceful settlement with Israel.
