149th session of Arab League to kick-start Sunday

Assistant Secretary of the Arab League, Hossam Zaki, said on Friday that the 149th session of the Arab League will be held on Sunday and will be chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The draft agenda of the session includes eight items that will address the various issues of joint Arab action, especially the latest developments in Palestine and the Arab-Israeli conflict, in addition to the Arab national security, human rights, and legal, financial and administrative Arab affairs, Zaki added.

The session will also discuss the activation of the Arab Peace Initiative, the Israeli violations in occupied Jerusalem, the illegal Israeli settlements, the Israeli Separation Barrier, the issues of the Palestinian prisoners and refugees and the Arab national security in African countries.
