Israeli authorities issue demolition notices in the Jordan Valley

Israeli authorities issued demolition orders to several structures in the village of al-Jiftlik in the Jordan Valley, according to a local official.

Ahmad Ghawanmah, head of al-Jiftlik village council, said that Israeli authorities handed demolition notices of structures owned by five residents under the pretext that they were built without a permit.

Last month, six European Union-funded structures – two residential and four animal shelters worth about €7,700 – were demolished in al Jiftlik Abu al Ajaj. They were provided in response to a demolition that occurred a year ago.
