Presidents Abbas briefs Kuwaiti foreign minister on the latest developments

President Mahmoud Abbas met on Monday in New York the Kuwaiti Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Khalid Al-Sabah and briefed him on the latest political developments in the Palestinian issue.

The meeting took place ahead of a speech Abbas is going to deliver at a meeting for the United Nations Security Council on Tuesday. Kuwait is the current chair of the Council and has invited Abbas to speak to this extraordinary session.

President Abbas thanked Kuwait for its support of the Palestinian cause and thanked the Kuwaiti foreign minister for attending and chairing the Security Council session.

The Kuwaiti foreign minister reaffirmed his country’s support for the Palestinian cause, which he said is a top diplomatic priority.
