Israel demolishes structure in a Jerusalem Bedouin community

The Israeli military demolished on Tuesday a structure in the Bedouin community of Jabal al-Baba in al-Eizariya to the southeast of Jerusalem and detained a Palestinian who protested the demolition, according to WAFA correspondent.

He said that Israeli forces demolished the structure under the pretext it was built without permit and notified residents of their intention to demolish all homes and structures built there.

Jabal al-Baba is located in Area C of the occupied West Bank, which is under full Israeli military rule. Homes and communities in area C are subject to continuous Israeli destruction under pretext of lacking building permit.

A United Nations agency said in a report published on Friday that the Israeli authorities demolished or seized 25 structures in Area C and occupied East Jerusalem, including a donor-funded school, during the first two weeks of February on the grounds of lack of building permits.
