Israeli forces injure young man at Gaza border

Israeli forces shot and injured a Palestinian young man on Tuesday during clashes at Gaza border with Israel, east of Khaza’a town in southern Gaza Strip, according to local sources.

Israeli soldiers stationed at borderline watchtowers fired live bullets and teargas canisters towards Palestinians who were gathering near the border fence, in protest against US President Donald Trump’s decision last month to recognize Jerusalem as Israel’s capital.

At least one Palestinian was injured by live fire in his leg and was moved to a nearby hospital for medical treatment. His condition was described as moderate. Three others, meanwhile, sustained suffocation as a result of teargas inhalation.
