The trade balance in Palestine, which represents the difference between exports and imports, showed a decrease in trade deficit by 11.2% in June compared to the previous month and a decrease of 6.3% when compared to June of last year to reach $335.7 million, the Palestinian Central Bureau of Statistics (PCBS) said on Wednesday.
Exports decreased in June by 15.3% compared to May while they increased by 5.8% compared to June 2016 and reached $82.2 million, said the PCBS.
Exports to Israel decreased in June by 14.2% compared to May and represented 91.4% of total June exports.
At the same time, exports to other countries decreased by 24.5% during the same period.
Imports also decreased in June by 12% compared to May and by 4.2% compared to June 2016 and reached $417.9 million.
Imports from Israel decreased by 12.6% in June compared to May and represented 54.9% of total June imports.
At the same time, imports from other countries decreased by 11.3% compared to May, said the PCBS.
