The Foreign Ministry Condemns the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s decision to allow Knesset members to storm Al-Aqsa Mosque starting next week, which is considered a serious escalation in the occupation’s attempts to promote the illegal annexation of Al-Aqsa Mosque, perpetuate its temporal division, and provoke the feelings of Muslims. The ministry also condemns the Israeli occupation forces for preventing the entry of students and books to the legitimate school in Al-Aqsa Mosque; claiming that the books belong to the Palestinian curriculum, the detaining of the vehicle carrying the textbooks belonging to the same school, and arresting the teacher Rubin Moheisen in front of Al-Asbat gate ( Lion’s gate), in the context of its continued aggression on the Al-Aqsa Mosque and its facilities to paralyze the religious and Palestinian life there.
The Ministry warns from the upcoming Israeli aggression’s consequences against the Al-Aqsa Mosque and calls again upon the Arab and Muslim worlds to provide all necessary measures to strengthen the steadfastness of the Jerusalemites and enable their defense of Al-Aqsa Mosque and other religious sites financially, legally, politically and economically. The Ministry also calls upon the relevant UN organizations, in particular UNESCO, to defend and protect its decisions concerning Al-Aqsa Mosque.
