Israeli forces Monday bulldozed agricultural land belonging to a Palestinian family in the village of Jabaa to the south of Bethlehem in order to establish an Israeli military training base, said a local official.
Head of Jabaa village council, Diab Mashaleh, told WAFA Israeli bulldozers razed agricultural land belonging to local residents in a locale to the west of the village to make way for a military training camp in the area.
The land is located about 500 meters away from the military checkpoint separating the village from the “green line” that separates the West Bank from Israel.
Israeli authorities had previously notified the village residents of its intention to seize around 70 dunums of the village land, said the council head.
