Israeli police detain 10 Palestinians, including minors, in East Jerusalem

Israeli police overnight and early Sunday detained at least 10 Palestinians, half of whom are minors, from the occupied East Jerusalem.

Five Palestinians, including three minors, were detained in al-Issawiya neighborhood for alleged involvement in throwing rocks, empty glass bottles and fireworks at Israeli forces during the past two weeks.

They are currently being held for interrogation and will be brought before court to extend their detention, said an Israeli police report.

Four other Palestinian youth were detained in the Old City of Jerusalem and subjected for interrogation.

A 15-year-old girl was detained late Saturday night at Qalandia refugee camp to the north of occupied Jerusalem after being summoned for interrogation. She is expected to be brought before court later today.
