Egypt to open Rafah crossing with Gaza on Monday for Hajj Pilgrimage to Mecca

The Egyptian authorities announced on Wednesday that Rafah crossing with the Gaza Strip will open for four constitutive days, starting Monday the 14th to allow Palestinian pilgrims to join the Hajj in Saudi Arabia.

At least 2508 pilgrims from the Gaza Strip will be leaving for Hajj this year via Rafah Border crossing; Gaza’s one point of exit to the outside world.

The crossing is closed most of the year and opens for a few days every two or three months.
