About 342 Palestinian prisoners start new years of captivity and oppression inside the Israeli jails during July/2017

Asra Voice Radio confirmed that 342 Palestinian prisoners start new years of captivity and oppression inside the Israeli Jails during the month of July under tough life circumstances.

The radio clarified that among these prisoners, a number of 38 Palestinian prisoners are sentenced to life imprisonment while 3 prisoner is sentenced to more than 30 years of imprison in addition to 25 prisoners are sentenced to more than 20 years in prison, 54 prisoners are sentenced to more than 10 years of imprisonment, 7 prisoners are sentenced to less than 10 years of imprisonment and 215 prisoners are detained without charges waiting for trials.

The radio station stated that among these prisoners, a number of 20 prisoners are from the occupied Jerusalem, 3 are from the occupied Palestinian territories in 1948, 45 are from the Gaza Strip and 274 are from the occupied West Bank.

It was witnessed on this month that a Number of prisoners were released from Israeli prisons. These prisoners are Mahmoud Behees, Ahmed Badir (the leader of Islamic Jihad), Salim Totah, Hamza Asalieh, Omar Zghair, Nidal Bazlamit, Alaa Shubraoui, Bahaa El Din El Froukh, and Awad Ziada.

On this month, Bilal Diab from Kafer Raei south Jenin, as well as Waed ElHaq ElHadmi from Sorif, Hebron District, have started a hunger strike protesting the continuous administrative detention.
