Israeli police detains 30 Palestinians in Jerusalem

JERUSALEM– Israeli police detained at least 30 Palestinians, more than half of them from Mount of Olive and Al-Tur neighborhoods, during overnight raids in occupied East Jerusalem, local sources said on Monday.

Israeli police and security forces raided the neighborhoods of Mount of Olive and al-Tur, where they detained 18 people, as well as Qalandia refugee camp, al-Thouri, Wadi al-Joz, the Old City of Jerusalem and Abu Dis where they rounded up 30 Palestinians for allegedly resisting the Israeli occupation of their city and throwing rocks at Israeli forces.
