RAMALLAH – Nabil Shaath, presidential advisor for foreign affairs Sunday rejected Israeli Prime minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s comments regarding a possible land swap of settlements in Jerusalem and towns in Wadi Ara.
He told Voice of Palestine that a land swap will be approved only when Israel recognizes a Palestinian state on the borders of 1967 and not just a swap of land in Jerusalem and others beyond the green line.
Shaath said, “Netanyahu aims to get rid of Palestinians living in Israel.”
He added that a land swap should not exceed 1.8 percent with minimum adjustments to the borders, taking into consideration the needs of both sides.
