King Abdullah II of Jordan calls Abbas after medical routine checkup

RAMALLAH – President Mahmoud Abbas Sunday received a call from King of Jordan Abdullah II following a medical routine checkup.

Abbas Saturday underwent routine tests at Istishari Hospital in Ramallah and all results showed that he is in good health condition.

The two leaders also discussed the recent developments in the Palestinian occupied territories, and evaluated the situation in Jerusalem, after the latest crisis at Al Aqsa mosque compound.

The two agreed to meet in Amman, the capital of Jordan, in order to further discuss issues of mutual interest.
