President Abbas: No change in relations with Israel before things are back to where they were before July 14

RAMALLAH – President Mahmoud Abbas said at the start of a leadership meeting on Tuesday held in Ramallah that unless things are back to where they were on before July 14, there will be no change in relations with Israel.

The president added that “all the Israeli measures on the ground from that date to the present day are supposed to cease to exist and then things will return to normal in Jerusalem after which we will complete our work regarding bilateral relations between us and them.”

He said, “There are new developments, which we must study so that we can say our word and decide where to go from here.”

He continued: “What we have decided is to freeze security coordination and this is on, and to defend our holy places and this is on, and we want to study what happened since that day to this day to see what we will do.”
