Sweden, France, Egypt call for UNSC meeting amid escalating tensions in Jerusalem

NEW YORK – Sweden, France and Egypt Saturday called for an urgent meeting of the United Nations Security Council amid escalating tensions in Jerusalem, said diplomats.

According to Agence-France Presse (AFP), Carl Skau, Sweden’s ambassador to the UN, said that an urgent meeting was called to discuss ways to defuse the escalating tension in Jerusalem.
