Palestinian injured in clashes east of Jerusalem succumbs to wounds

JERUSALEM – A Palestinian Saturday succumbed to critical injuries he sustained after being shot during clashes with Israeli forces in the town of al-Izariyeh to the east of occupied Jerusalem, said medical sources.

The Palestinian Red Crescent (PRC) said its crews transferred the injured Palestinian to a hospital in Jericho. However, due to the severity of his injury he was transferred to Palestine Medical complex in Ramallah where he succumbed to his wounds.

Palestinians throughout the West bank and Gaza are demonstrating in support of al-Aqsa mosque and to express their rejection to Israeli violations and measures at the holy site as tension continues to rise in Jerusalem.
